Hi, I am Derek!

My name is Derek, I’m 18 years old, and a senior at Mercer Island High School. I’ve rowed on icy mornings, coded through the night, led clubs, built games, played tennis tournaments across the country, and still found time to build a true to form 90's arcade table. Whether it’s sports, tech, design, or leadership, I’m someone who dives in headfirst and stays until the job’s done. I like learning by doing, and I’ve done a lot.
