Derek Borden
I am an Aerospace Engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology interested in the intersection of aerospace systems, electronics, and computation.
I enjoy taking engineering projects from first principles to physical hardware—designing circuits and PCBs, developing embedded and data-acquisition systems, programming simulations and software tools, and integrating these components into larger systems.
At Georgia Tech, I am continuing to develop these interests through aerospace engineering coursework, undergraduate engineering projects, and Georgia Tech Experimental Rocketry, where I contribute to propulsion data acquisition and avionics electronics.
My technical interests include aerospace systems, avionics and embedded electronics, computational modeling, aerodynamics, controls, and hardware-software integration.
