I have been playing the cello since 5th grade when the flowing shape and melodious sound
of a cello inspired me to join the school orchestra. It has been a source of joy for me when
times are good and escape in difficult times. I am grateful to the Mercer Island School
District Orchestra program for welcoming me into a community where music felt like a
shared adventure.
